Information About Jodie:

Personal Description:

In Summer 2012, I graduated with a Second class honors, upper division (2:1) in Economics and Politics from the University of Exeter. I now work for large business corporation which gives me great business knowledge and adds to my economic tutoring.

Teaching Experience:

Whilst I was at school I helped tutor fellow pupils in Economics and History and regularly helped students with work. I have also done sports coaching at school and university so have experience in teaching in different areas.

Tutoring Approach:

I am very good at explaining things in a simple way to allow my students to understand complicated theory. I have a natural rapport with children and I have an interactive style of teaching to make tutoring enjoyable, allowing students to learn and participate more.

I have taken exams for the past 7 years so I have current experience of exams at all levels. I have tried and tested methods of revision and exams for all learning types, in order to reach the students maximum potential. I am not only friendly and approachable but I am very results orientated.

I think it also helps that I currently work in the business world, so I have a much more in depth and real world based understanding of the subject. I make sure they have a good knowledge of graphs as there are good marks to be had for these! And that they can explain their arguments in a logical step by step fashion.
