Personal Description:
Hello!
I am a 22 year old British girl bilingual in Japanese and English.
I worked as a Maid in Akihabara (Tokyo`s electric town) and also as a private English and Japanese teacher.
I started teaching myself Japanese at the age of 12 and have lived in Japan for two years.
I have also been teaching myself Korean for the past two years, I enjoy finding different and interesting new ways to learn a new language and as a language learner myself I am able to teach more effectively.
I have passed the JLPT N2 and am taking the N1 this Summer.
I also have a GCSE and A level in Japanese so I am familiar with the specifications for these exams.
Teaching Experience:
I have taught English privately in Japan for two years and also Japanese in the UK including a Cambridge graduate looking to learn Japanese in order to work in a hospital in Nagoya, Japan. He was very pleased with the results he achieved in such a short amount of time and was able to communicate effectively during his stay.
I also teach Japanese and English through Skype.
Tutoring Approach:
I love teaching Japanese and can teach you anything from very formal/business Japanese to slang/casual Japanese.
I believe everyone is different when it comes to learning a language and it is important to structure a lesson that is most suited to the learner. I will do whatever I can to motivate you and tailor lessons to your needs.
I like to use different resources to teach Japanese including media, text books, and short stories.
