Personal Description:
I have a passion for languages and taught adults for Dorset Adult Education Service from 2003 to 2012. More recently I have undertaken 1:1 tuition in Italian at Sherborne International College and tutor at home on a 1:1 basis. My specialisms are Italian, French and English as a Foreign Language. I studied Italian and French at University, love travelling and being able to enable others to benefit from the pleasure that speaking another language brings. I am also a member of the Education and Training Foundation (formerly the Institute for Learning) and hold qualified teacher status (QTLS) for the post-16 sector.
Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching Italian, French and English as a Foreign language to adults since 2003, teaching leisure courses at all levels as well as preparing learners for various exams including AS Level and Cambridge ESOL. More recently I have also been tutoring on a 1:1 basis.
Tutoring Approach:
I have an individualised approach to tutoring which I vary according to the needs of the learner to enable them to get the most out of their learning experience. I am patient, approachable and flexible and use a variety of resources and teaching methods.
