Personal Description:

Hello, I live in Rainham and have three children and one grandchild, whom I adore. I enjoy working in my garden growing vegetables and roses, I enjoy water colour painting and sewing quilts.

Teaching Experience:

I have 10 years teaching experience in the primary sector, (years three to six) and am currently working part-time in a secondary school teaching GCSE English and key stage 3 maths. I have been teaching there for the three years now. I,m also part of Top Cat Tutors. We tutor pupils from year two to year eleven, for English and maths and up to KS 3 science. We have fully equipped classrooms with loads of resources. All my pupils have made significant progress both in their work and their confidence.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to teaching is fairly traditional but creative, I assess new pupil's current levels, then plan the next steps with them. I engage my pupils at all levels of their learning as I believe this encourages them to be learners. I praise and encourage my pupils for excellent work. however if a pupils struggles to understand a concept, I will find a way to explain the task so that my pupils does understand and can achieve, which in turn enables them to make progress. I set homework to consolidate what has been taught.
My pupils constantly make considerable progress: as their subject knowledge improves so their confidence grows.
