Personal Description:

I am a native Spanish speaker who has been living in Derby for the last two years. I studied Social Science and I am a qualified Spanish Teacher. I studied a Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching Spanish as a Second or Other Language, "DEELE".

I am friendly, talkative and am passionate about languages and cultures. I get a real thrill from sharing my knowledge and helping my students learn and grow in confidence.

Teaching Experience:

I have over two years of experience of tutoring Spanish privately to both groups and individuals over a range of ages. I am happy to teach Spanish to complete beginners right through to advanced level students.

I have also worked voluntarily in local Schools and a Nursery and have a full CRB check.

Tutoring Approach:

First, I start by getting to know the student's learning style, needs and objectives. I then build an individual learning plan together with the student with agreed time-scales and measures. I think it is very important to involve the student in all aspects of the learning process.

I understand that every student has different needs and I readily adapt my style to best suit the needs of each pupil. I like to use a variety of teaching methods including (but not limited to): role play, listening to / watching authentic materials and games as well as using textbooks and more traditional exercises.
