Information About Jacqueline:

Personal Description:

I am passionate about working with young people and helping them to achieve their potential. I currently work as a Psychology, Maths and English tutor as well as working in career advice and life coaching for teenagers and young adults. My biggest tutoring achievement this year was a student who started with me having failed her mock Psych A level and after 3 months of weekly tuition she passed, not only with top grades but without dropping a single mark in her exam! Very proud of her!

Teaching Experience:

I have worked as a Maths and English tutor to Key Stage 3 level for 3 and a half years and have been a Psychology tutor to degree level for 2 and a half years. I have a Masters in Occupational Psychology and have also mentored students through dissertations and research projects.

I work with young people daily having started my own business working with students to help them to be more proactive in their approach to studies and work experience. Last academic year I was doing between 20 and 25 hours a week of tuition whilst based in London. I have now moved and am building up a new client base. I also run a summer activity camp in the holidays for children aged 5-16 so have experience of working with children in a variety of settings.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a very personable person and believe in adapting my style of teaching to each individual. I am full of energy and strive to inspire and increase enthusiasm in my students - I find that my desire to learn is infectious and it isn't long before students have gained confidence and positivity towards their subject.
