Personal Description:

Currently at Oxford university as an undergraduate doing a BA Experimental Psychology degree. Outside of term time I live in Putney, SW London and would be available for tutoring in SW London. I will specify my term dates and consequent availability when contacted. My academic qualifications are as follows:

Cambridge Pre-U: Chemistry D1, English D2
A-Level: Maths A*, Further Maths A*
GCSE: Maths A*, English A, Chemistry A*, Biology A*, Physics A*, Russian A*, Spanish A*, French A*, Latin A*

Teaching Experience:

I have tutored my neighbours in A-level maths, GCSE maths and biology, and all common entrance subjects.

Tutoring Approach:

I will first assess the capabilities of the student and then model my explanations accordingly, as I have found that different approaches suit different people. Understanding will be consolidated by the student completing either work of his or her own, or work that I will set which will test that he or she understands the principle behind the work, as opposed to simply adopting a template for solving all questions of a certain type. I will also try to foster a genuine interest in the subject, as a receptive and willing mind receives and integrates ideas much better than one simply focused on ticking boxes, so to speak.
