Personal Description:
My name is Mark and I currently teach maths at a top independent school in Hampstead, North London. I recently completed a postgraduate MSc in Business Management at Loughborough University. I graduated in 2010 with a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and I took maths, physics and music for A Level. In between my two degrees, I took a year out and worked at a leading school in New Zealand as a maths teacher and rowing coach. I would describe myself as friendly, understanding and patient.
Teaching Experience:
I currently teach years 7-13 at a top independent school in Hampstead, North London. Between September 2010 and July 2011, I worked at St Peter's School, Cambridge in New Zealand. I taught years 9-11 and gave tutoring to four additional students after school. Throughout my time in the classroom (so far), I have come across a wide range of abilities and personalities.
Tutoring Approach:
Upon contacting me, we will discuss problem areas and agree on a rough work plan. Ideally, we will work through the tutee's textbook and an end of topic test when we feel confident with the material.
