Teaching English abroad.
Tutoring for four years.
Tutoring Approach:
I have an interactive approach to teaching that focuses on establishing confidence in the subject matter, teaching effective revision and independent learning techniques. I tailor sessions to the tutees preferred style of working, and I will also advise on changes to working style where I think it will help the tutee to better understand the subject. I usually set a different topic each week, starting with the weakest areas and spending the longest on them, and I set weekly homework in order to assess progress. Homework usually consists of questions from the textbook, past exam questions or tests of my own devising. I have a car and I happy to drive to regions around midlothian and beyond.
I will ask for a contribution to travel expenses where necessary.
