Personal Description:
I am an experienced manager, teacher, lecturer, researcher and trainer with experience in English Teaching as a foreign language. I can also give added value though my extensive business experience, having worked with Japanese and European Companies as director of a 1000M International Trading Company, Trafalgar House(Now Skanska). I also have wide interests pertaining to education & training and close links with the European Atlantic Group & British Lithuanian Association regarding the Baltic, having a Lithuanian mother. I have also studied Lithuanian at the School of Slavonic Studies, London University, which has links with the Soros Intsitute, Vilnius and Kaunas University. I also have particular interests in mentoring, coaching, and customer service and have worked closely with Marks & Spencer, The BBC, IKEA and Universities of Surrey, Reading, Brunel and London South Bank . I am an enthusiastic team player who enjoys challenges, music and sharing cultures.
Teaching Experience:
As a secondary school supply teacher I have taught science at Churchfields School, Swindon and at Banbury School, Banbury and St Gregory's Roman Catholic School in Oxford. Other subject areas included Religious Studies, Citizenship, Maths and Biology with Class sizes varying from 25 to 35 . The classes had a broad ability range and a variety of cultures. My theatrical, academic and business experience combined with an international outlook enabled me to take classes at short notice and follow a lesson plan both imaginatively and flexibly

I have completed lecture assignments on AS Business Studies for Uxbridge College, run Saturday morning customer service workshops for Abingdon & Witney College at Didcot for UPS, Network Rail & a Formula 1 supplier and have lectured in the evening on an IBAM marketing management module. I have also taught on the new foundation degree course at Amersham & Wycombe College and Lectured on Marketing Communications for two evening courses to local businesses including Oxford Brookes University & Oxford University Press on a CIM(Chartered Institute of Marketing) Diploma course at Oxford & Cherwell College, Oxford and at Abingdon & Witney College. All lesson material prepared by myself and exams externally marked by CIM, good grades achieved - provided one-to-one sessions for students on assignments
Tutoring Approach:
40 hrs of seminars for Oxford Tutorial College, Oxford, for A level business, AQA Board, King Edward Street Lecture rooms - also taught CSR(Corporate Social Responsibility) with business studies that included impact of low carbon economy and energy efficiency on all organisations Mentoring and Coaching qualification received at Bicester Innovation centre May 2011 Also engaged in Carbon Conversations Group, part of Low Carbon Oxford North(Energy Company) comprising secondary schools and University lecturers, pensioners and students meeting regularly in April and May to discuss Climate change, travel and practical ways of living in a low carbon economy - networked aim is also to give ourselves and community energy security by planning improvements to our homes ranging from flats to terraced houses. Scheme also successful in Oxford involving schools and community to achieve energy security goals. Also teaching renewables technology to small businesses. Taught English as a foreign language at home with my wife - approach is centred on the studnet, making the subject enjoyable with shared aims and objectives
