Personal Description:

Hi. I am a qualified secondary teacher and I specialise in English and Maths 1-2-1 tuition, from primary (KS1 and KS2) to GCSE level (KS3 and KS4) My teaching degree was completed successfully at Manchester Metropolitan University which is an 'outstanding' teacher training course provider who received a 'Grade 1' by Ofsted in 2010. I am quite flexible with regards to the times I can offer for the private tuition sessions. I am currently contracted to work in schools through Kirklees doing 1-2-1 tuition with children from Years 7-11.

I am a fully qualified teacher and hold PGCE & QTS (qualified teacher status) I am also a registered member of the GTC (general teaching council) and a member of ATL 'The Association of Teachers and Lecturers' and also the 'NASUWT'

Teaching Experience:

I have had an extensive range of experience teaching across many different schools in West Yorkshire. I have taught at KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4 and KS5 levels in schools around West Yorkshire. I have also worked with special needs (SEN) children in schools across the Kirklees area. The work was very rewarding and this made me not only work harder but also allowed me to enjoy the work I was doing, this really motivated me in all aspects of my teaching.

Tutoring Approach:

As a teacher, I feel that any child who is lacking academically in their general work or their confidence needs to have some sort of additional help to equip them with the knowledge and skills which will be essential for them to use in the future. One to one tuition will allow your child to develop their understanding in areas of Maths and English which they might have found difficult to understand in school. It will also allow myself to help your child in specific areas of Maths or English which they don't feel confident with. I will try my utmost best to gather information about your child prior to them starting the tuition sessions such as gathering their reports from school and also their test and exam grades to help me identify their areas of weakness.

• PGCE (QTS) Primary and secondary teacher training course (full time)
