Tim - Menai Bridge tutor
Information About Tim:
Personal Description:
I am a friendly, patient and enthusiastic person with a strong scientific background. I have an MSc in Marine Environmental Protection from Bangor University and a BSc (hons) in Bioveterinary Science from Liverpool University. My career experience is mainly in ecology.
Teaching Experience:
I have been tutoring students since finishing my undergraduate degree and I am currently assisting with undergraduate teaching at Bangor University. Whilst working on a conservation project I taught an intensive science program to volunteers with a focus on marine ecology. During this placement I also taught the basics of marine ecology to local school children and their teachers. I have held positions supervising young adults and worked in the student services department of a busy further education college in London.
Tutoring Approach:
I will always listen to the specific strengths and weaknesses of each tutee before structuring a learning program. I believe that building an understanding of a topic is crucial for the information to stick and reviewing previous sessions helps to reinforce knowledge and identify areas that are in need of further attention.
