I love what I do and aim to inspire my students to do the same as they make leaps and bounds forward.

Teaching Experience:

Native English Speaker with 22 years teaching in UK schools and colleges and with students of all ages and levels and back grounds.

12 years as an English examiner for a major exam board.

Writer of English exam papers for a major exam board.

Tutoring Approach:

I recommend small groups of up to 3, where students of similar age and ability are able to interact and learn from discussion and response techniques.

1:1 teaching also has its place for certain styles of learning so this is catered for if it is a preference.

Technical skills are taught along side skills of analysis on one hand and creative, narrative writing or formal, non-fiction writing on the other.
