Personal Description:

I am a dedicated, passionate and energetic teacher, who enjoys his work and try to go beyond what is normally required of an educator. Spanish is my mother tongue and I finished the University Master Degree in the Teaching of Spanish as a foreign language.

Teaching Experience:

During my stay in London (I have been here since June 2008) I have been fully dedicated to teaching Spanish to adults and primary/secondary pupils. I have focused on the National Curriculum and the IB Primary, Middle Years and Diploma programme, since I have been working at Islington Arts & Media School of Creativity as Spanish teacher assistant and supply Spanish teacher around other London Schools, where I was involved in the planning and assessment of pupils in years 9,10 and 11, as well as preparing and delivering individual programmes of study for pupils struggling to attain the required levels for GCSE and A-level. Likewise I have dealt with some students with behavioural and emotional problems in order to change their attitude towards Spanish. On the other hand I have also taken a particular interest in private tuition because I have been teaching Spanish through Spanish Steps Agency and by my own. As a private teacher I successfully prepared pupils and adults to GCSE and A-level exams who all achieved top marks.

Tutoring Approach:

My method always searches autonomous development and critical thinking focusing on functional grammar, conversational skills and cross cultural explanations since I have an in depth knowledge of the Iberian culture. I believe the teacher's work is a kind of art which must be excessively attractive, responsible and worth for the students.
