Personal Description:
I am 53 years old female. I am a qualified Biochemist. I grew up and was educated in London and have worked in Medical College as a research scientist. For the last 14 years I have been teaching GCSE and A level biology and GCSE science.
I am the author of 'Comprehensive Practical Biology for A Level'; it is part of the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) recommended book list, and is on sale internationally. I have also authored the Comprehensive Junior Science textbook series, a set of five books, workbooks and teachers' resource guides for pupils aged 5-11.
Teaching Experience:
I have taught GCSE and A Level Biology for over fourteen years, in prestigious schools in Pakistan where I was head of Science for a very large school. In England I have taught in Mander Portman Woodward and Brampton College, Lansdown College. I am an A level examiner for Cambridge Board. I therefore have proven ability to teach Biology.
Tutoring Approach:
I teach students according to their own needs and ability. After teaching the topic I get students to answer lots of exam questions to help them prepare for the final exam.
I have worked consistently with high energy; perseverance and stamina to enthuse my students about the subject and allow them to gain confidence and practice in answering exam questions.
I have been nominated as the teacher of the year; as well as 'a person who made a difference to your life' and have excellent track record.
