Personal Description:
I am studying English Language at Cardiff University having achieved A grades at A-level in English and History, along with a B in Philosophy; achieving 100% for my final English mark. Further, I achieved A* grades at GCSE in Media Studies and RE, along with A grades in English Language, English Literature and History. I intend to become a teacher when I graduate from University and find teaching to be extremely enjoyable.
Teaching Experience:
I worked as a tutor voluntarily during sixth form college; teaching mainly English Language but also some History and Critical Theory to younger students.
Tutoring Approach:
Every student is different, but I feel that all students find learning easier if the correct approach is taken. I first try to discover the student's attitude to learning and therefore the best method to teach them. This could be anything from straight-forward talking and discussion to using visual aids such as diagrams and slideshows. This ensures a positive learning atmosphere and generates better results.
