Information About Caitlin:
Personal Description:
I am capable of working on my own or with other people. I enjoy reading, writing, drawing, learning new things and teaching others new things. I currently speak two languages and am learning a third. I am a lively person and fun to be around but serious when I need to be.
Teaching Experience:
I have always excelled academically so I am used to being asked for help in most areas. I only have experience of tutoring children in Primary School (Key Stages 1 and 2) English and Maths. My younger sister used to struggle with Maths and English so my mother requested that I tutor her and she is now slightly above average in Maths and English. I have never taught Spanish before but I am able to speak advanced Spanish.
Tutoring Approach:
I am patient, creative and sensitive. When a student makes a mistake, I try to correct them without making them feel as if they've let themselves down, ask how they got that result and explain where it is they went wrong. I always ask where the student is up to and make a list of things we need to go over together. I'll set my students homework tasks every so often.
