Personal Description:

I have been a supply teacher for six years working in a variety of inner-city schools and colleges. Initially, my professional background led me to teaching Health and Social Care, but as time progressed I had become proficient in teaching a range of subjects, eventually specialising in English. Working with more of the 'hard to reach' pupils, I have developed a number of ways of making delivering English in an interesting and creative manner.

Teaching Experience:

I have been registered with Select Education for six years and taught a range of subjects on long-term contracts ranging from Health and Social Care to Maths and English. For the past four years I have been teaching English to pupils up to GCSE level. Previously, I was an AQA Examiner and I marked A Level Psychology papers.

Tutoring Approach:

I offer a range of expertise that will empower and enhance students of all educational abilities so that they may achieve their maximum potential. For example, I have a proven track-record of raising the performance of 'border-line' pupils and instilling exam confidence and improved writing skills.

To ensure a positive cathartic tutoring experience, I also provide: skills building, mentoring and confidence building. In addition, my practical experience and knowledge has led me to be fully conversant with the requirements of acquiring a GCSE qualification that incorporates Functional Skills.
