Personal Description:

I'm currently studying a mathematics degree at Queen Mary University. I am very passionate about mathematics as I think it's one of the most fundamental of all subjects and that proficiency in it is essential for everyone. I'm also a qualified first aider for a charity, and am multilingual.

Hi,

I'm currently studying a mathematics degree at Queen Mary University and am offering tuition in maths for pupils doing their 11-14, GCSEs or A Levels. During the first tutorial I will determine your child's current level by giving them questions from past papers / books from their age group and all tuition will be tailored to match and improve your child's proficiency. I set homework every lesson, and will report to you on the student's progress.

- Having gone through the UCAS university admissions process myself, having helped other students with their personal statements and generally UCAS applications, I am knowledgable with the process and can give sound advice on how to have the highest chance of success with getting a place on the course you want, especially with mathematical and science courses. I am familiar with the interview processes for mathematics courses, especially at top universities which means that I can provide very valuable guidance for your child.

- Having been an A Level student only 2 years ago, and with one of my parents being a full time teacher, I am familiar with the current curriculum, requirements, exam structure etc, and have a lot of learning material available. Exam success is about subject knowledge and test technique in equal measure and your child will benefit from my help with both.

- Preparing for the 2010/11 academic year before it begins will give your child a great boost from the beginning, both in terms of attainment as well as confidence. If your child is in secondary school, improving now will mean that you could place your child in a higher set at school, and if your child is about to start A Levels it will take out a lot of initial confusion and stress about the subject and will mean that the student will feel confident and achieve better results in class.
