Personal Description:
I am from Taiwan, and graduated from MA Photographic Studies at University of Westminster. I am good at teaching art, photography and Mandarin (Chinese). Mandarin is my native language, and I have worked as a fine art artist for more than three years. I have abundant knowledge and skill in contemporary art and photography. I have exhibited and received a number of photography awards internationally, including New York, London, Berlin and Taipei. In photographic skills, I am familiar with all kinds of cameras, from 35mm to medium format camera and large format camera, no matter digital or film-based. I am also good at Photoshop and Illustration.
Teaching Experience:
I have teaching experience in Teaching Chinese as private tutor in London, as well as art and photography workshop tutor.
Tutoring Approach:
In teaching art or photography, I like to start from the basic knowledge and skills, and then lead the students into critical thinking and creativity. During the learning process, students will be introduced to contemporary art theory and artworks from different artists, and then to realise what they long for with the assist from me. I would adjust the style depends on each individual student, for example, more theory or practice.
In teaching Chinese, I will start from the correct pronunciation, and then into everyday life conversation and words. By creating real-life scene and communication, the students can remember the words and lines easily.
