Personal Description:

My mother tongue is Arabic; I arrived to the UK back in 1970's to do a postgraduate degree in Botany.
I am fluent in Arabic and English.



Teaching Experience:

I have taught Arabic to adults and to groups of youngsters, both formally and informally. I have helped students improve their speaking and reading / writing skills.



Tutoring Approach:

Learning a language requires endless repetition of words, phrases, and whole useful expressions. I motivate my students by finding out 'why' they want to learn Arabic. Hence, for example, for moslems I use the Koran to learn good Arabic pronunciation, comprehension and, for the advanced student, grammar.
