Natalia - Birmingham tutor
Information About Natalia:
Personal Description:
I can now offer As & A Level Archaeology tutoring from AQA modules (please select the A level History option).
I am a Ba (Hons) Archaeology graduate from the University of Birmingham. I live in my own house and have a friendly but professional manner. I play the piano and I am a dance teacher.
Teaching Experience:
I currently work at the University of Birmingham offering study skills, providing practical support and mentoring as an educational support assistant to disabled students. I have previously worked as a KS3 drama & cover teacher at a high school in Birmingham and I also deliver educational workshops to school and family groups at museums across the West Midlands.
I have taught dancing for 14 years at a private dance school and also within primary and high schools. I invigilate high school exams and have personal tutored several students through GCSE to obtain A grades.
I am a GCSE- A Level History marker with AQA exam board.
I am used to working with young children up to teenagers and can adapt my teaching style accordingly. I have worked with many autism spectrum students including aspbergers and downs syndrome.
I have crohn's disease which has also helped me identify with disabled students.
Tutoring Approach:
I like to assess the students learning style and adapt that to my teaching (such as visual). I prefer to tutor in my home to create a relaxed friendly environment. I set realistic goals but like to push every student to achive their best potential.
I feel being young helps students feel more relaxed with me yet I always maintain a professional relationship.
I will cater my lessons to what is required but firmly believe in-
Lesson plans
Practice Papers
Mock Tests
FEEDBACK!
I do believe homework is essential between sessions to practice what we have covered during our time together. I do like to incorporate games where appropriate and work with the student to discuss how they feel they can learn best and get the most from our sessions.
