Adam - Streatham tutor
Information About Adam:
Personal Description:
I have recently graduated from Oxford with a Masters in Chemistry.
I am happy to go over any concept or problem the student needs help with, either as revision or to supplement current classroom teaching. I often find that going over past papers is the most effective method of preparation for exams. I like to break down complex problems into their core principles so that the student is able to understand them and apply them to questions they may encounter in the future.
Teaching Experience:
I was a tutor at a well known academic summer camp in Boston, USA, in 2008 where I helped high school students prepare for university admission tests. As well as teaching maths and English in classes and in small tutorials, I successfully ran workshops on improving interview and presentation skills, which received great review from experienced teachers and the students.
Tutoring Approach:
I will be glad to pace the teaching to meet the needs of the student, whether it be to come top of the class in an upcoming test or to understand something that was not explained sufficiently in class at school.
