Personal Description:
I am an experienced tutor of 9 yrs, supporting the learning of children aged from 3-16 yrs. I have tutored in various positions, my areas of expertise are Basic skills (included Maths, literacy and study skills) and Art Therapy; I have an A' level in Fine Art, a Diploma in SEN, a Degree in Sociology and also a Masters in Education.
Teaching Experience:
I am experienced in teaching in supplementry schools and tuition groups, I am the founder of L M Tuition which offers comprehensive support in Literacy, Maths (Numeracy & Reasoning), Basic study skills which include the development of confidence, relaxation, concentration and motivation towards learning. Many children (and adults) lack the appropriate attitude and skills to enable them to fully achieve academically, L M tuition's Basic study skills programme helps to strengthen all of these areas. Tuition is also available in Art therapy - 'Art Expression', these sessions create unique ways for children to express and explore the world around them using art. These sessions provide useful outlets for our pupils to experiment with their ideas, concepts and dreams that can often be suppressed by their inability to express them verbally. Art Expression session are particularly beneficial to our pupils with SEN also our more introvert learners.
Tutoring Approach:
At LM Tuition each pupil follows learning/study plan on an individual basis, we recognise that every child is different and learns in a unique way. Therefore every pupil is encourage to learn in the way that best suits them and to progress at their own speed with support to enable him/ her to become an independent learner
