Personal Description:
I am a Web Developer who has been building websites professionally for over 10 years.
I am able to instruct in a wide variety of skills required by the modern developer including:
HTML and CSS
JavaScript
PHP web development
MySQL database design and administration
Integrating with 3rd party services and api's such as Facebook, Google and MySpace
Creating graphics for the web with Photoshop and Illustrator
Linux web server administration
Teaching Experience:
I have previously conducted training sessions both for non-technical users and developers. The scope of these sessions has ranged from topics such as using Website maintenance using a Content Management system to advanced sessions with already experienced developers covering more advanced PHP and MySQL concepts such as Object-Orientation and Database Design.
Tutoring Approach:
Wherever possible I aim to let the student determine the direction and level of the tuition. I look to take whatever knowledge they already posses about web development, find out the areas in which they wish to improve and adjust the lessons accordingly
