Personal Description:
I am an Italian native speaker, very friendly, warm and sociable. I really care about my students and I strive to give them always the best of myself at all times. Although very serious and organised, I like putting a sense of fun in my lessons. I have a great sense of humour and I believe that learning should be a pleasant and fun process.
Teaching Experience:
I have an extensive experience as a teacher. Many years ago, while still in Italy, I taught English in primary schools. In London, I have been teaching 1-1 lessons for many years, until I became a self-employed tutor two years ago, after qualifying top of my class as an Italian teacher at the Cultural Italian Institute. Part of my course included daily teaching practice to classes within the Institute.
Tutoring Approach:
My training course focused on both teaching theory, based on the communicative method, and daily teaching practice. The practice included creating lesson plans and making the materials involved beforehand. I have been praised by tutors, students and colleagues for creating very interesting lesson plans and original materials, and for my caring interaction and attention to students' needs.
In my daily work as a freelance teacher I put the students' interests and needs first, and make lessons plans that are tailored to them.
