Personal Description:
I have just completed a Ph.D in German studies and take a keen interest in German literature and language.
My undergraduate and postgraduate studies have involved extensive research within English literature and language and I am eager to teach within these fields as well.
Teaching Experience:
During my time as a Ph.D student I taught classes on German grammar and literature to those of a variety of abilities at the University of Edinburgh. This involved planning individual classes as well as longer courses involving aspects of my own research. In the past I have also taught English as a foreign language to children and adults.
Tutoring Approach:
I am committed to providing a high standard of guidance and tuition with the fields of literature and languages. It is my belief that successful tuition is about creating a stimulating and relaxed environment within which to obtain the best results from students. The more interested the student is in their topic, the better the results. It is my task to make students interested.
