Personal Description:

I'm an approachable and friendly teacher who is passionate about Psychology.

I currently teach full time in a secondary school and sixth form but going on maternity leave in September 2018 so keen to do some tutoring while I'm off.

I will be returning part time so will still be able to continue lessons during the week in June 2019.

Teaching Experience:

I'm a qualified Psychology teacher with a 2.1 degree from Durham university. I have been teaching for 10 years and just love the a level psychology spec! I have done exam marking in the past so have an excellent idea of what exam boards are looking for.

I teach year 1 and year 2 AQA A level psychology. So can tutor students for either the AS exam or A2 exam. I also teach GCSE OCR Psychology.

Lessons will be tailored to your needs; we can focus on learning and understanding content, essay writing, short question answers, application of knowledge questions or research method questions.

I will also provide workbooklets for students to work through so help organise notes, ensuring they gain enough detail that reach their target grade.

Tutoring Approach:

I tutor using powerpoint presentations, booklets, activites and interactive approaches. I will take a flexible approach to tutoring students as it will be based on their needs. I feel it is important to find out which areas the students need help in, whether it be in learning and understanding the material, explaining the material in written form, essay skills, revision or exam skills.

Students will complete workbooks which allows them to keep notes organised in preparation for their exams.

• Psychology Degree (2.1 with hons)
• A level Psychology
