Personal Description:
I am a dedicated science tutor who will provide tailored tuition for your child to excel.
Currently studying Biomedical Science BSc at King's College London, I have settled for nothing but the best during my studies, having achieved the top "A" grade in Mathematics, Human Biology, Physical Education and Psychology at A-Level or higher. For my AS-Level Physical Education result, I achieved one of the top 10 worldwide scores, with a commendation from the Chief Examiner of Edexcel. Furthermore, I obtained 7 "A*" and 3 "A" grades at GCSE.
Teaching Experience:
I have three years experience tutoring 15-19 year olds in Biology, Mathematics and Physical Education, ranging from GCSEs to A-Levels. In addition, I also have five years experience coaching children (and adults) in football and trampolining.
During this time, I've taught hundreds of children ranging from 6-19, and wholeheartedly understand that being approachable, patient and friendly is essential for any child to excel.
Tutoring Approach:
I pride myself on a student-centred approach to tutoring in which my tutee is actively engaged, rather than just passively listening, with as wide a range of resources provided as possible. This enables a subject to be approached from all angles, and will without doubt make it more interesting to learn also.
As I have a firm grasp of the accredited specifications of the examining bodies, your child will always be taught the relevant material, using a wide range of resources including (where possible) interactive websites, vibrant textbooks and past papers.
My student-centred approach, with top-quality teaching, is why every one of my students has always improved by at least one grade in their exams. I also offer ample time to discuss your child's progress, with references and qualifications available upon request.
