Personal Description:
I am 34 years old and a newly qualified mathematics teacher. I hold a PGCE in mathematics from the Institute of Education and a 2.1 degree in Management Sciences (a branch of mathematics) from the London School of Economics.
Teaching Experience:
I have taught mathematics in two large mixed comprehensive schools based in North West London. I have taught students at KS3, GCSE and 'A' level. I have adapted my teaching style to meet the different abilitities and learning style needs, of the students I have taught.
Tutoring Approach:
I am known for my supportive style of teaching. I guide students not only to build their confidence in mathematics and achieve results, but also to grow an interest for the subject. I ensure that the lessons are personalised to the student's needs in order to bring out the best in them.
My teaching strategies include homework, end of topic tests and continuous monitoring of pupils performance.
