Information About Lisa Maria:


Personal Description:

I am a multilingual student currently studying spanish and latin american studies at university. I have taught Portuguese and Spanish to younger family members and volunteered in after class help for younger students. I was born in the UK but grew up speaking both these languages and have achieved A*-A in GCSE and A level. I am currently on the path of achieving a 2.1 for my spanish language.



Teaching Experience:

As mentioned above, I have tutored younger family members and assisted teachers in after class tutorials. I will also be travelling to Spain and Ecuador next year and teaching in a local primary school as I am very keen on teaching as a future career prospect.



Tutoring Approach:

First off, I would have a conversation with the tutee and ask them to write a short piece of writting to see what level they are at, unless they are beginners of course. Secondly, I will find out what level the tutee wishes to gain from the lessons and structure my lesson plan around these goals.

The student will have activites to complete in order to practise the spoken language such as role play sheets, watching short films, there will also be a sum up of the lesson along with a quick test to make sure the student has understood what has just been taught.
