Personal Description:
I am a fully qualified teacher of French, Spanish and English who has worked in schools around London and holds a PGCE in Secondary Education. I also hold a First Class Degree in French with English and a Masters Degree with Distinction in French Literature and Culture, both from King's College London. Given my relative expertise, my rates are therefore very reasonable. Having left the profession to pursue a PHD in French at King's College, I am available to tutor students of all ages privately. I am passionate about modern languages and literature and have a track record of inspiring similar interest in my students! I am friendly and always make sure my students feel relaxed and motivated regardless of previous experience or knowledge. Teaching Experience:
I have taught French and Spanish in two schools in East London and am used to teaching students with a wide range of abilities and needs. I have taught both A-Level and GCSE classes as well as some primary age students and have experience of teaching and tutoring all of the major exam boards. I also work at a educational centre in Newham at the weekend helping students prepare for their English GSCE, so have good experience of teaching AQA English Language and Literature.
Tutoring Approach:
My teaching is well planned and fun! I work at the speed which best suits my students and make no assumptions about prior learning. My aim is to encourage students to be as independent and as motivated as possible and I welcome mistakes and errors as an aid to future improvement! I like to include a variety of resources rather than just focus on one method to vary the learning experience.
