Personal Description:

I am currently a Student Teacher at Middlesex University on a 'PGCE Science with Biology' course. I recently graduated from Warwick University with a degree in Biological Sciences

For my A levels I excelled at English Literature & Language and Biology and also took Information Communication Technology. I received a B grade in all three subjects overall (in my first year of A levels i received A's in both English Literature & Language and Biology)

From early on I've always wanted to go into teaching. It is something I'm very passionate about, and this passion hasn't wavered all throughout my time in education.
I am a very honest and hard-working individual. I am very patient and work well with others. I have good time management skills and once i am committed to a task i will do everything i can to see that it gets done.

Teaching Experience:

I am currently a Student Teacher teaching in a North London Secondary School. I have experience in teaching students at key stage 3 (year 7 to 8) in biology, chemistry and physics and key stages 4 and 5 (years 9 to 13) in biology.

Tutoring Approach:

Everyone has their own way of learning something. No two people are the same. Some people prefer to write things down, while others just need something explained to them in simpler way which is more understandable. The first step would be to establish how the tutee prefers to learn the subject and what methods are most suitable for them. This can be difficult in a class room with 20+ students all being taught in the same way. The next step is to look at what the tutee already knows and what they need to learn

Qualifications:

• Biological Science Bsc Hons degree from Warwick University
• A levels in Biology (Grade B), English literature and language (Grade B)and ICT (Grade B)
• 11 GCSE's. All grade A-C's
