Personal Description:
I am a University student, currently studying Pharmacology. I am 20 years old and very enthusiastic about teaching people as I am passionate about Science and love the feeling of achievment that comes with improving people's understanding of the subjects. Studying for exams is very difficult and, not only do I look at the actual GCSE topics, but also tackle revision tecnhiques which my students find very helpful.
Teaching Experience:
I recently became a tutor for an 11 year old boy studying for Royal Holloway and Westminster scholarship exams and also a double science tutor for GSCE level for a young girl. I have managed to improve the girl from D grades to A* grades in the course of 8 months at 1-2 lessons per week.
Tutoring Approach:
I have a very relaxed attitude to tutoring and I believe that due to my age, I am very approachable for young people. I have fairly recently done these types of exams and can relate to all of the problems and struggles these students suffer from and how to get them through it. Science is very daunting for a lot of people, but the key is to teach people to not just learn the material parrot fashion but to understand it and then it can always be applied to new situations that appear in exams. I tend to do a lot of practise papers and mark them with the students to get them used to answering exam questions from the outset, then go through mistakes and ask them to learn anything that they have struggled with for a quick test at the beginning of the next lesson.

- A and A* grades in 10.5 GCSEs
- A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Latin
- Currently BSc student in Pharmacology
