Personal Description:
Hello, my names Jess, I'm 22 years old and live in Halstead, Essex.
I graduated a year ago from the University of Winchester with a 2:1 Ba HONS Degree in Drama Studies.
I'm Currently working in retail, but am looking to becoming a teacher, but in the meantime I'm happy to give as much help as I can to students.
Teaching Experience:
My main experiences are based around facilitating Drama workshops in large groups. Last year i was part of a team of 5 actors who set up a theatre in education project in Hampshire for primary schools.
I also do work for language schools as a residential activity monitor and drama specialist, working with overseas young people to develop their English Language skills for weeks at a time.
Tutoring Approach:
As a tutor I like to create a relaxed atmosphere and find a pace that suits the individual. I would be available outside of meeting times, via email or the phone for emergency help and advice and proof reading.
As a tutor I would be more than happy to tutor English or Drama at GCSE, A Levels and Degree level.
I am more than happy to help plan Drama and English coursework and essays and help with structure as well as theory.
Spend time in rehearsals for exam pieces and offer advice and direction.
Offer one to one tutoring and direction for entrance exam performances.
Give advice on study skills, exam prep, revision aides, essay structuring and style.
Having gone to university I am also happy to help with UCAS applications and practical advice for what to look for in a University.
