Personal Description:

I recently graduated from Durham University with a 2.1 in English and Philosophy and am now pursuing my interest in literature by studying towards an MA in English.
As a student myself, I understand the pressures posed by academic study and, as a result, feel that I am able to communicate effectively with other students.
I have worked in a number or editorial roles and am now Senior Editor at a telemarketing company



Teaching Experience:

I have privately tutored a number of friends of the family and have received much positive feedback.



Tutoring Approach:

As a student, I am fully aware that some methods of teaching can be tedious and uninspiring. Therefore I ensure that my lessons are as enjoyable as possible. With GCSE and A-Level I find the most effective way to improve is to go over past exam papers and draught out potential plans to questions. In this way I try to balance personal study with constructive feedback. I generally find that working one to one is the most effective method of teaching, since everyone learns in different ways; however I am happy to work with a larger group if this is required.
