Information About Jennifer:

Personal Description:

My name is Jennifer and I'm from Spain. I have been learning languages since I was at school, and after at high school, university and languages schools. This fact has made me aware of the importance of learning languages and has taught me different ways of teaching and learning a foreign language.
I have a university degree in Translation and Interpreting.
Furthermore, I have the qualification to be a teacher in Spain (C.A.P). During this course I learnt several aspects of teaching a foreign language and the opportunity to teach in a high school in Spain during my period of practice.

Teaching Experience:

I had taught English as a private teacher for a year and currently, I am giving Spanish private lessons and working as a Spanish Language Assistant in two secondary schools.
My responsibilities as a Language Assistant are to help pupils with their skills and abilities in Spanish. Sometimes I work with smalls groups practising the pronunciation, speaking, listening and writing skills. I also help the pupils with their oral exams and I prepare activities with vocabulary or contents that they have learnt in the classroom with the teacher. I work in the classroom with the teacher as well and I am also in charge of prepare resources and materials such powerpoints presentations, activities, booklets etc that teachers can use in their lessons.
I have learnt a lot from the teachers; the way they teach languages and how different it is from the way that we use to teach in Spain. Because of that, I can take the best of both systems.

Tutoring Approach:

I prepare every lesson in advanced taking into account the students level and their needs. I prepare materials and resources such as powerpoints presentations, worksheets... I use my laptop in the lessons so that we can use Internet and online materials. In my lessons you can practice listening, reading, writting and speaking skills or just the ones you're most interested in. You will also learn grammar and vocabulary as well.

• Degree in Translation and Interpreting
• Spanish Certificate for Teaching
• Certificate in Intercultural Aspects in Teaching Spanish as Foreign Language
