Information About Emma:
Personal Description:
I graduated from Warwick University with a 2:1 join honours BA in Philosophy and Literature. Both subjects have been a passion of mine for a long time. I received an A* in both subjects at GCSE and A at A/AS level.
Teaching Experience:
I tutored GCSE and A/AS level English and Philosophy whilst studying at Warwick to students from the local grammar school.
Tutoring Approach:
I encourage my pupils to be analytical in thought and essay style. I find that working through essay questions/practise test papers is the best way to prepare for exams. I am keen to ascertain the pupils learning style and to let this inform the method I use to tutor.
I am a good source of knowledge in both philosophy and literature and find that I have has a lot of success in conveying complex ideas in the most simple way possible then building from that. I have found that the overlap of both subjects leads to higher than average marks, and I am keen to impart this on my pupils.
