Personal Description:
I'm a very positive, friendly ambitious, and enthusiastic individual committed to working hard and acting on my own initiative. I have the ability to relate to and build a rapport with a wide range of people as is evident from both my studies at university, and work experience activities.
Teaching Experience:
I have taught my nieces, and tutor them on a weekly basis. I teach them Chemistry. They are aged 13, and 14.
When I was at high school, I used to listen to the children in nursery read, and help supervise them during classes.
I have worked abroad in the Emirates at schools, teaching English, Mathematics and Science.
Tutoring Approach:
I like to find out as much as possible how much the tutee knows regarding the topic, and where they struggle. I try to make my lessons as creative, and fun as possible, and break down complex material into an easy way to understand. So far, I have been very successful at that, and have been recognised for this by other teachers and children.
I will focus on the parts they do not understand as much, and explain to them as simply as possibly about the topic and also by using appropriate diagrams if necessary. I will refer them to textbooks which I have recommended for them. I will then test them at the end, by asking questions to see if they have really understood. I will end the session by asking if they have any questions about the topic or any areas they would like me to explain.
