Personal Description:

I am a graduate of the University of Birmingham, with a degree in Biological Sciences. I have friendly, and well mannered, as well as taking a professional approach to my work. A bit of a geek, i've always had an interest in Science and Technology, and strive to learn as much as I can about these areas.

Teaching Experience:

I started training as a Science Teacher, yet withdrew myself from the course, 2/3 of the way through, due to an inability to deal with classes full of misbehaving students. I realised that I did not want to spend my life teaching science to those who do not care about it, and so have moved away from offical school teaching.

My skills in teaching, and explaining science are strong, especially to smaller groups of pupils, or on a one to one basis. Combining this with a sound knowledge of the pedagogy (how to teach) of all the scientific disciplines, I am well experienced with a sound knowledge of the school curriculum, and what is expected of students in the work they produce.

Tutoring Approach:

I take students through a topic at a basic level, with a small test to judge their own understanding in the area. From this, we can then work together on where we need to proceed with
