Information About Anthony:
Personal Description:
I'm understanding and won't rush the tutee. Ive just finished applying to university and received four out of five offers. I intend to go to Edinburgh University to study Spanish and Linguistics. Currently finishing my A-levels at City of London School for Boys on Queen Victoria Street and enjoy interacting with fellow students whatever age.
Teaching Experience:
I have mentored year 9's before as part of an in-school mentoring program, and I helped a boy achieve 2 A's in History Common Assessment and his Latin end of year exam. I am the prefect assigned to a year 8 group which i enjoy greatly and have built up a good style encouraging success in and out of the classroom. Its good fun to work with younger people and I plan to go into teaching having accomplished my other life goals.
Tutoring Approach:
I realise that school work can be challenging at times and I intend to guide the tutee through with appropriate support and encouragement. I will not give the answers right away but steer the tutee into being confident in his own thoughts and to rationalise, plan and check work.
