Paul - North Kensington tutor

Information About Paul:

Personal Description:

Prior to working in schools, I worked with the children's charity Cricket for Change, working with challenging children and children with learning difficulties. This environment became the perfect setting to develop skills to enable children to access their own abilities to learn. These methods originated from my own education at The Arts Educational Drama College, during the 1980's. I trained as an actor (this course is now a BA Honours degree) and my training is now recognised as a degree. I worked as an actor, appearing in television, films and over 30 major parts in productions of Shakespeare plays. I have directed video and theatre productions and now write, with publishing and television interest in my first novel.

Teaching Experience:

Having worked with the Charity Cricket for Change for three years, I was teaching children for three years. It was also my responsibility to train adult trainers. I have been working in primary schools as an instructor for over two acedemic years.

Tutoring Approach:

I currently work as an instructor in a primary school. Consequently, I understand the curriculum thoroughly and have developed teaching methods that deliver incredible results. By understanding how your child learns, I support them in their individual learning style. As well as teaching your child outside of the classroom, I show them how to maximise their learning inside the classroom and help them to work independently. My goal is for them not to need me any longer than is necessary and for them to function at the highest level independently.
