Information About Alexandra:


Personal Description:

I am a qualified English Teacher at secondary level. I studied English at Brunel University and completed my PGCE at King's College, London. I am passionate about English as a subject and would like to share that with any tutees. I am a bubbly 27 year old who is able to engage with children of all ages and abilites.



Teaching Experience:

I completed my PGCE at King's College and have worked at a secondary school in South London since 2012. I worked as a Teaching Assistant prior to my teacher training and this has given me a great deal of experience with working 1:1 with students.

I have had tutoring experience with children from KS1 - KS5; my knowledge and experience in the secondary sector allows me to tailor my tutoring for primary students in order to equip them with the skills they need prior to beginning secondary school.

I teach to the AQA exam board and iGCSE at KS4. At KS5 I teach AQA's A2 'Love Through the Ages' and AS Lit.B 'Aspects of Narrative' courses.



Tutoring Approach:

I am a very patient person who likes to keep learning fun and interesting - I want to share my passion for English! Rather than tutoring sessions feeling like an extension of school work, I want my tutees to enjoy a more approachable way to learn skills in literacy in order to progress effectively with their school work.
