Information About Jodie:
Personal Description:
I studied BSc Psychology at degree level and was award First Class Honours. I then went on to work as a teacher, and I have Qualified Teacher Status; I trained in primary education with a PCGE in Early Years Leadership and an MA in Education. I am now teaching A Level Psychology and science at a renowned school in Hertfordshire. I also work as a behavioural and communication therapist for children with Special Educational Needs within a nursery. I am currently training for an MA in Psychotherapy.
Teaching Experience:
I have experience teaching at primary level in all subjects, and have a particular strength for literacy and numeracy.
I am currently teaching A level psychology AQA specification, and my students this year have all received A grades for the January exam, bar one B grade.
Tutoring Approach:
I offer a personalised approach and will assess areas for development and cater my tutoring style for the requirements of the student. I feel that students of all ages need to take ownership of identifying areas of weakness so that they can fully understand the elements that they may be lacking in.
I like to use interactive techniques such as real life examples, visual images and games to suit different learning styles.
