Personal Description:

I enjoy teaching and witnessing children develop and succeed. I am approachable and supportive of all students. I am able to increase my students confidence in their own abilities along with improvement in knowledge and skill in different areas of learning by focusing on their individual interests and needs. .



Teaching Experience:

I am a Primary School Teacher with 11 years experience teaching in both key stage 1 and key stage 2. I teach all curriculum areas although my specialisms are Literacy, Mathematics and Science.

I have experience of teaching children with special needs and am able to tailor teaching to enable all children to progress at their individual level. I have also taught gifted and talented children in primary schools and have experience which enables me to challenge these learners to succeed further.



Tutoring Approach:

I have a supportive approach to my teaching. Students I have taught in school and as tutoring privately have said that they enjoy my lessons and their self confidence have improved as well as their knowledge in the subject areas taught.

Everyone learns in different ways, whether this is through practical activities, listening to instructions or using visual aids. I tailor my lessons to the strengths and interests of the learner to enable them to progress and succeed. I am keen to share the activities and ideas with parents to enable them to continue the support given to the children at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Environmental Management
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A levels in English, Geography and Biology
  • 10 GCSEs graded C and above
