Personal Description:
A dynamic, well organised tutor of Mathematics with 4+years of experience in teaching KS3 and GCSE, 2 years of experience teaching A level Mathematics. My organisational and communication skills developed through my involvement with challenging students demonstrates my ability to go the extra mile.
I am a fluent speaker of English and have a solid understanding of the UK Examining Boards and the national curriculum. I gained a Masters Honours degree in Aerospace Engineering from Queen Mary, University of London. Reference from previous parents and students can be provided upon request.
Currently I am in full-time employment as a Subsea Structural Engineer for an engineering consultancy firm. I apply my Maths, Physics and Engineering knowledge gained from primary school to university.
I am also a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics ambassador for Greater London. I also have an enhanced CRB disclosure certificate.
Teaching Experience:
Private GCSE Maths Tutor
FEB 09-current
Providing a fun and productive tuition service through preparation and excellent subject knowledge. Tuition took place at libraries and tutees residence.
My tutees were GCSE and AS level students. My duties included:
Recording individual progress, being prepared and organised, identifying and working on student weak points and marking homework which I set every week.

The volunteering was aimed at year 9, 10 and 11 students every Sunday. My duties included:
Assisting students with homework, coursework and questions in general.
Tuition ranged from one-2-one to group of 5. In addition to this I would substitute the Maths teacher in his absence.
I gave presentations up to 50 students for self-development; this involved using my own initiative to interact with everyone through fun activities and solving puzzles together as a class.
December 2007-May 2008: GCSE Mathematics after school tuition
Swanlea Secondary School;
This after school tuition scheme was run by Food4Thought once a week. It was targeted at students with weak Mathematics skills. My general duties included:
Tutoring a group of students
Giving Maths lessons to the class
Giving exam advice and techniques
1-2-1 tuition and recording student progress
