Personal Description:

I was most recently working on a self employed basis in London as a Piano Teacher - a position I occupied for around 3 years. Prior to this, I graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with a Postgraduate Diploma in Performance and with The Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music Teaching Diploma.

Teaching Experience:

Teaching has been an important part of my training, both at the Royal Academy of Music and at the Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music, and I believe my experience would serve my students well. As you will see from my CV, in addition to meeting the demands of a full-time academic schedule and receiving Master of Music Degree from the Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music, I have considerable teaching experience in several areas of music. Moreover, during my time at the Royal Academy of Music, I performed in many of the world's most renowned concert halls such as Orff - Zentrum in Munich and Kremlin in Moscow. I have previously played in BBC concerts and also visited Italy, Spain, Norway, France, Russia, Ukraine, USA and Finland for solo concert performances, all of which were very successful.

Tutoring Approach:

As a teacher, I hope to motivate students in using their inner strengths and abilities to help them discover what truly inspires them. I aim to provide a stimulating learning environment that encourages students to trust their own opinions, whilst fostering confidence in themselves in order for them to realise their full potential. Through my teaching experience so far, I have found the method of facilitating rather than dictating to be a highly beneficial style of teaching. I have learned that if students construct their own learning experiences, then they will not only retain information longer, but they will also become more confident in their abilities.
