Information About Lili:

Personal Description:

I am a very friendly, patient person. I am originally from China. I enjoy teaching and studying languages. I also love cooking and travelling. I have studied at Universities in both China and Japan and I have also worked in both countries in various fields. I have worked for a trading company in which I had to translate from Japanese to Chinese and vice versa. Now I am living in Wales and looking forward to helping people to improve their language skills. I promise that I will do my best to help every student of mine to make great progress and achieve their language goals.

Teaching Experience:

I taught Chinese full-time in Japan to students of all ages and I have experience of teaching Japanese to foreigners in Japan (native English speakers that visited Japan to teach English). Due to my teaching experience and living and working in Japan for over 10 years (I am a fluent speaker of Japanese) I am able to teach both languages.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a friendly, patient teacher that teaches to the needs of each individual student. I am a native highly educated Mandarin speaker with no accent (many Chinese speakers have a very strong accent due to the influence of their local dialect on their pronunciation), therefore, I teach students clear, pure, natural Mandarin. Pronunciation is a very important part of the Chinese and Japanese language and I am very able to help students improve in this area alongside other key areas such as grammar, listening, reading, writing and speaking. I focus on improving students' weak areas by tailoring my lessons to meet the needs of each particular student. I have very high quality textbooks that after many years of research I believe are possibly the best available to improve students' language skills.
