Information About Diccon:

Personal Description:

I have an MA from the University of Cambridge in History, and an M.Sc from the University of Oxford in Economic and Social History. I have spent six years at the University of Cambridge completing Ph.D study and teaching undergraduates. I also play music to a high level, have Grade 8 Theory of Music, and am currently completing an M.Mus at Trinity College of Music. In music I offer tuition in beginner piano, in bass guitar, and double bass (classical and jazz). I have worked as a freelance academic researcher for seven years, covering a wide range of Social Science subjects.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught undergraduates at the University of Cambridge in Economic and Social History 1550-1750. I have also taught double bass and bass guitar to a number of private pupils and taught piano at the Klavar Summer School.

Tutoring Approach:

I vary my approach according to each case. Each individual iis different and I will structure my teaching approach to match the way you learn best. From my researching and teaching experience, I believe I am especially good at helping you structure essays, take notes, and other important study skills.
