Jessica - Oxford tutor

Information About Jessica:

Personal Description:

I am a 21 year old student from Oxford. I read English Literature and Philosophy at Durham University. I have always had a passion for English, achieving A* at GCSE, and A at A level. I am fortunate enough to have experienced very proficient teaching, on which I endeavour to model my own tutoring.

Teaching Experience:

I have no formal teaching experience, though I have helped my three younger siblings through their exams, from 11+ to A levels. I have a lot of experience working with children as well, from working in a junior school aftercare amongst other positions.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that each child has a different catalyst that will bring about a desire to learn, so my approach would differ depending on my assessment of the pupil. I would hope to make the learning fun, by ensuring texts come alive and allowing the pupil to use their own imagination to subjectively interpret texts so that they feel a sense of achievement. Encouragement and support is key.
